  Bradley Backstage: The Bradley Jazz Collective

  We are thrilled to welcome back the very first Bradley Backstage act, The Bradley Jazz Collective! The band, comprised of Craig Bryan (drums), Al Hospers (bass), Mimi Rohlfing (vocals), Mike Sakash (saxophone), and Jed Wilson (piano), will be performing the music of Thelonious Monk in celebration of the year that would've marked his 100th birthday. Monk was one of the greatest composers of the 20th century. The late pianist wrote about 70 songs during his career — many of which have become standards, including the most recorded jazz composition of all time, "Round Midnight." Bradley Backstage concerts "flip" the theater and seat the audience on stage with the performers, creating a much more intimate and unforgettable live concert experience. The lobby and box office will be open at 6:30 pm.

  The Internet Is Distract--OH LOOK A KITTEN!

  Fryeburg Academy Theater presents their 2018 One Act Festival play, The Internet Is Distract--OH LOOK A KITTEN. Micah only has twenty minutes to finish her paper on The Great Gatsby. She just needs to check a few facts on the internet first. Unfortunately, the web is a nefariously wacky place where boxing cats, Facebook lurkers, and pig-throwing games threaten to take over Micah's schoolwork, or worse. Will she finish her paper and escape with her life before the school bell rings? A high-octane comedy that explores the rabbit hole of distraction we all go down everytime we go online. Directed by Ryan Knowles-Lane. Written by Ian WcWethy. Run time: 30 mins

  Met Opera Live in HD: Semiramide

  This masterpiece of dazzling vocal fireworks makes a rare Met appearance—its first in nearly 25 years—with Maurizio Benini on the podium. The all-star bel canto cast features Angela Meade in the title role of the murderous Queen of Babylon, who squares off in breathtaking duets with Arsace, a trouser role sung by Elizabeth DeShong. Javier Camarena, Ildar Abdrazakov, and Ryan Speedo Green complete the stellar cast. Estimated run time - 4 hrs. Please note there will not be a catered lunch before the opera, but we will have coffee and light snacks available during intermission. Joe De Vito will be hosting his Opera Lecture Series on Thursday, March 8th at 3 pm. The lobby and box office will be open at 12:00 pm. Seating will begin at 12:30 pm.

  Act One Dance Presents: Alice in Wonderland

  Tina Titzer's Act One Dance Company presents a shortened version of the ballet, Alice in Wonderland. The first half of the show will feature award-winning pieces from Act One's recent dance competition, which will include ballet, lyrical, tap, and jazz.

  Met Opera Live in HD: Cosi fan tutte

  A winning cast comes together for Phelim McDermott’s clever vision of Mozart’s comedy about the sexes, set in a carnival-esque, funhouse environment inspired by 1950s Coney Island—complete with bearded ladies, fire eaters, and a Ferris wheel. Manipulating the action are the Don Alfonso of Christopher Maltman and the Despina of Tony Award–winner Kelli O’Hara, with Amanda Majeski, Serena Malfi, Ben Bliss, and Adam Plachetka as the pairs of young lovers who test each other’s faithfulness. David Robertson conducts.
