Sandra Quincy Fox '61
Sandra Mae Fox, 76, of Fryeburg, Maine, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 18, 2018, at Fryeburg Healthcare Center.
She was born in Conway, N.H., on Nov. 5, 1942, the daughter of Hubert Joseph and Alta Lord Quincy.
She graduated from Fryeburg Academy in the Class of 1961 and attended the Golden School of Beauty Culture. She married Webster Fox and they enjoyed 56 years of marriage.
Sandra worked as a certified nursing assistant at Fryeburg Healthcare Center and at Dr. Buzzell’s office as well as working as a hospice nurse. She also loved working for MSAD 72 in the food services. She really loved seeing and interacting with the children of New Suncook School daily. She enjoyed crocheting, braided rugs, knitting, as well as many other crafts. She loved baking and spending time with her grandkids. She self-taught herself to paint, was a member of the Christmas Club, Y-Teens, Homemakers of America and Knitting Club and received her motorcycle license in her 60s. She was an assistant to the superintendent of the Fryeburg Fair horse show.
She is survived by her husband Webster; her son Marcus and wife, Paige; her daughter Bonny; grandchildren, Nicolaus, Kendra, Coty and Cassidy; many loving cousins on both sides and her surrogate siblings, the seven Fox children. She was predeceased by her parents; and several aunts and uncles. There will be no services at this time.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to either Sunshine Backpack Food Program to support her love of feeding the children of MSAD 72 or to the North Fryeburg Community Chapel in her loving memory to support the completion of the Chapel Hall.
