Arts faculty in classroom with students practicing on instruments.

Lights… Camera… Action!

At Fryeburg Academy, students can learn a new instrument, perform with a large ensemble such as a chorus or band, audition for one of our award-winning jazz ensembles, or play in a rock band, chamber orchestra, or pit orchestra for our all-school musical.

Performing arts course offerings range from introductory courses in music and theater to advanced classes such as AP Music Theory. These courses build the skills and confidence necessary for students participating in various extra-curricular offerings. Students in the performing arts at Fryeburg Academy form an active community that often collaborates outside of classes to create student-led projects and share their passion for the arts.

The Leura Hill Eastman Performing Arts Center is a state-of-the-art venue for performances and rehearsals, with excellent acoustics, lighting, and sound reinforcement. With two art galleries, a seminar classroom, a scene shop, and a modern 400-seat performance hall, the Performing Arts Center is a superb setting for student performances, art openings, and nationally recognized guest artists who work with students throughout the year.
