PACE GALLERIES CURRENT EXHIBITION
Benjamin Newman - Artist, Teacher, Neighbor
The Pace Galleries latest exhibit features the restored piece "Lunchtime In Brittany". Widely regarded as Newman's masterwork, this painting was exhibited at the prestigious Salon de Paris in 1886 during the artist's time in France, where he worked alongside Post-Impressionist Paul Gauguin.
Also on view are a collection of other works by Newman, a celebrated painter and former art teacher at Fryeburg Academy.

About Stephen & Palmina Pace
Stephen Pace, an acclaimed artist, had an impressive art education, studying in Indiana, Mexico, New York City, Paris, and Florence. His experience in World War II, coupled with his passion for art, led him to become a professor at American University in Washington, DC, where he honed his skills and retired in 1983.
Palmina Pace, his wife, played a vital role in managing her husband's career, enabling him to focus solely on his passion. We are forever grateful to the Paces for their generous gift, which has enabled the Academy to showcase such incredible talent at the Pace Galleries. Even after his passing, Stephen's legacy lives on as his wife, Palmina, continues to reside in their home in New Harmony, IN.
