Tuition and Financial Aid

Tuition and Fees:

Tuition/Room/Board 2023-24
  • 7 Day Boarding $52,500
  • 5 Day Boarding $36,500
  • MWV Winter Term $15,000 (requires participation on the MWV Ski Team)
  • Commuting Day $19,000
  • Semester $26,250 (annual fees prorated)
Application Fee 
  • $100
  • This is a one-time, non-refundable charge to accompany the application.
Student Life Fees 
  • USD $1,775
  • This fee covers most afternoon and weekend recreational activities and related transport. The charge also includes a refundable $500 room deposit.
International Student Fee 
  • USD $3,500
  • This fee is required of all international students. It covers the intensive and specialized support provided by FA’s Center for International Students: TOEFL preparation and testing, college counseling, and college writing instruction. It also covers, when applicable, ESOL study and the additional administrative assistance required for passport, I-20, and visa management.
Learning Support Program 
  • USD $7,000 Domestic; USD $4,000 International
  • Fryeburg Academy's Learning Support Program is designed to provide services to students with diverse needs, whether documented or not. Content area support, study skills, reading instruction, writing assistance, and growth in self-advocacy skills are among the areas addressed. Two classes specifically designed in the area of English that focus on reading and written language are offered when the individual requires this instruction. Remediation and supportive services are provided for individuals who have a documented specific learning difference such as a learning disability, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, physical handicap or other health impairment.
Health and Accident Insurance
  • USD $2,300
  • This fee is mandatory for all international students. Please contact Ms. Sarah Sartory, School Nurse, at ssartory@fryeburgacademy.org for more information.
Tuition Refund Plan
  • The fee is a requirement for all boarding and commuting day students. The fee is approximately 3% of the student’s tuition.

Financial Aid:

February 1st is the priority deadline for all financial aid paperwork. Some financial aid still available.
