Advanced Coursework Options

Fryeburg Academy offers a thoughtfully sequenced academic program that enables students to progress to more advanced work over time. Three distinct offerings:

Honors Courses

Honors courses emphasize depth, pace, and critical analysis while reinforcing strong study habits and academic independence. These courses build the foundation for success in AP and college-level classes.

Advanced Placement (AP) Courses

AP courses follow the College Board curriculum and prepare students for AP exams, offering the opportunity for college credit or advanced placement.

College-Level (CL) Courses

Select dual-enrollment courses provide college-level rigor, allowing students to experience the expectations of post-secondary academics while still in a supportive high school environment.
