FA Raiders Win the Class C State Football Championship

After a series of dominating post-season victories, including a 40-0 win against York High School in the Class C South Regional Semi-Final Championships and a 38-0 triumph over the Leavitt Hornets in the Final Championships, the FA Raiders entered the Class C State Football Championships with an awe-inspiring record.

On a cold and windy Saturday morning on November 23rd, the Raiders faced the Hermon Hawks for the Class C State Football Championship at Lewiston High School. With a packed crowd, the Raiders took an early lead with a 14-0 score at half-time. As the third quarter unfolded, the Raiders extended their lead to 21-0 against the Hawks, with only 7:02 remaining—thanks to a touchdown by Danny Ruiz '25, further cementing their game dominance.

The last quarter saw the Raiders continue their dominance, with a final and victorious score of 28-0, making them the Class C State Champions—a testament to their perseverance and a long-awaited victory since the last championships in 1963 and 1965.

Heartfelt congratulations to the entire team and coaches on an incredible season! Your unity and teamwork have truly shone through, and your hard work has paid off. The entire community is bursting with pride at your well-deserved victory.
