Ronald McAllister '57

Ronald Taylor McAllister, 87, of Center Lovell, Maine, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Wednesday, December 3, 2025.

Born on September 18, 1938, in Portland, Maine, to Ralph R. McAllister and Ina (Taylor) McAllister, he was a well-regarded lifelong resident of Lovell.

He owned and successfully operated his own business as a Master Plumber and as a caretaker for over 100 properties. He served as the Code Enforcement Officer in Lovell for 45 years, in addition to his time serving Stoneham and Stow, Maine.

He was a dedicated member of the Lovell Volunteer Fire Department for 70 years. He was a valued member of both the Lovell Lions Club and the Delta Masonic Lodge. He was also a lifetime member of the Lovell Historical Society.

In his personal time, Ron enjoyed camping with his family, reading, and spending time with the dogs he loved over the years.

Ron is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Sally. He also leaves behind three loving daughters and their families: Ali O'Connor and her husband, Tom O'Connor, and son Grady O'Connor; Catherine McAllister and her husband, Jim Cook; and Diana McAllister and her husband, Goshe Imran. He was most proud to be a grandfather to Ainsley O'Connor and Maeve Charles.

A celebration of life will be planned for spring.
