Roberta Struven Dailey '67

Roberta J. (Struven) Dailey, age 76 of South Paris, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 4, 2025, with her family by her side at Maine Medical Center. She was born October 23, 1948, in Norway, a daughter of Howard (Douglas) and Esta (Pomeroy) Struven. Roberta attended and graduated from Fryeburg Academy and worked as a CNA for many years.

She loved many hobbies such as: gardening, reading, doing puzzles, and she was somewhat of true crime documentary junkie, but she was the happiest when spending time with family and friends.

She was predeceased by her father, the husband and father of her two children, William (Bruce) Dailey, and her long-time companion and best friend, John Reed.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving sons Michael Dailey and his significant other Jo-Linn of Otisfield; Matthew Dailey and his wife Caitlin of South Paris; mother, Esta Struven (106 years young) of California; and her loving grandchildren Stephen, Liam, Connor, Ashlynn, and Everett as well as her bonus grandchildren Wyatt and Marshall.

She also leaves behind her loving siblings – her sister, Ellen Riley of California; and her two brothers Howard (Douglas) Struven and his wife Marie of Fryeburg and Roderick Struven and his longtime companion, Kay of Tennessee. She also leaves behind the loving children of John – Mickey Reed of Poland; Renee Shanks of Brownfield; and John Reed and his wife Kimberly of Norwich, NY.

The family will hold a celebration of life on Sunday, January 19, 2025, from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. and will be held at Chandler Funeral Home 45 Main St, South Paris. To make an online condolence please visit www.chandlerfunerals.com
