R. Bruce Boleyn '58

R. Bruce Boleyn, 87, passed away peacefully on January 11, 2026. Born in Lexington, Massachusetts,
Bruce lived a life marked by dedication to his family, friends, and community. Growing up, Bruce formed many enduring friendships while studying at Fryeburg Academy, Fryeburg, Maine, and later at Babson Institute, Wellesley, Massachusetts. These lifelong connections reflected the profound loyalty he extended to those around him.

Bruce enjoyed a successful career in marketing, sales, and real estate. An avid hockey enthusiast, perhaps his greatest sales pitch was successfully lobbying for the establishment of a hockey team at Babson.

Bruce also found deep fulfillment in serving the town of Truro. His civic contributions included time
in the Assessors' Office and on the Planning Board, where he worked diligently to support the
community he loved. Known for his unwavering willingness to help others, Bruce was always ready
with a kind word or a helping hand.

Bruce is survived by his wife of 55 years, Sam, his daughter Beth, his twin sister Brenda, and many
other beloved family members. He was predeceased by his eldest daughter Catherine.

A celebration of Bruce’s life will be held later in the spring.
