Nancy King Lauziere '47

Nancy was born on September 7, 1928, daughter of the late Fred P. and Charlotte (George) King. She attended schools in Bartlett, NH and graduated from Fryeburg Academy in Fryeburg, ME. Nancy and her family lived in several different locations including; Lochmere, Franklin, Zephyrhills, FL, Penacook and finally moving to Belmont. She was employed as a women's clothing buyer for the former Globe Department Store in Laconia. Nancy had many loves in her life including dancing, gardening, attending craft fairs and flea markets and traveling, but her greatest love was caring for her family, as she would always say, "her family was her world." She attended St. Joseph Parish in Belmont.


Nancy was predeceased by her husbands, Leighton Washburn and Edward Buczynski Sr. and her only brother, Roger King.
Her surviving family includes; her daughters, Terry Pike of Belmont, Debra Washburn of New Hampton and Kelly Angerami and her husband Dean of Stuart, FL, her son, Michael Washburn of New Hampton, her 6 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, her two nieces, Darlene and Pam, nephew Wayne, and her beloved sister-in-law “sis” Gail Washburn.


She is also survived by her blended and loved family, stepchildren, Bunny Clark, Carole DuBois, Noreen Freeman, Garnet Edmunds and Ed Buczynski Jr., their 13 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.


Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, August 22, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Smart Memorial Home, Franklin-Tilton Road, Tilton.


A celebration of Nancy’s life will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
