Linda Fry '59

Linda Fry, at age 82 passed away; Thursday 19 May 2022; in York Harbor Maine, where she was born and resided at the time of her death. She was the only child of the late Morton and Elenor Fry.

Linda was married to the late Gay Hendricks, a noted author, psychologist, and teacher in the field of personal growth and body intelligence. Linda is survived by their only child Amanda Hendricks who resides in California.

Linda attended school in York Village Maine until she enrolled in Fryeburg Academy where is she graduated in the class of 1959.

While at Fryeburg Academy, Linda was a member of the cheerleading squad. She had recently donated, to the academy, the megaphone that she used.

Linda being very artistic, while a student, designed show window scenes and displays for clothing stores, in particular, for a store in Fryeburg. Later in life she operated art galleries in New England and in her hometown of York Maine. Occasionally she would display her own works of art.

Linda had many hobbies of which the ones she most enjoyed were swimming and kayaking. Having a beautiful voice, she loved to sing karaoke as well in the church choir.

Linda was an active member of the York Maine chapter of the "Daughters the American Revolution."

Linda was very successful at counseling alcoholics and had some success with drug addicts.

Linda passed away peacefully in her sleep of a cardiac arrest and is interred next to her parents in the "First Parish Cemetery" in York Maine.

Her funeral was performed by Lucas and Eaton Funeral Home in York Maine. 207.363.3531 Linda leaves many friends and associates who will remember her as a vivacious, fun-loving individual.
