Linda Fox Allen '69

Linda M. Allen, 76, of Waterford, died Monday morning, March 23, 2026, at the Andwell Hospice House in Auburn.

She was born on February 8, 1950, in Bridgton, a daughter of Charles and Iva (Kendall) Fox. Raised in Lovell, she attended local schools and graduated from Fryeburg Academy.

In 1972, she married Neil Allen, and shortly after they settled in Waterford. Linda worked for over 40 years at Bridgton Hospital, where she managed the medical records department.

She was a staple in the North Waterford church kitchen, helping with their legendary church suppers, and in the spring could always be found placing military flags in the local cemeteries.

She enjoyed spending time with family, especially her granddaughters, sewing, making gnomes, and helping anyone she could.

She is survived by her son, Scott Allen and his wife Misty of Waterford, and their daughters, Brooke and Cadence; her brothers, Larry Fox of Lovell, Pete Fox and his wife Cindy of East Stoneham, and Steve Fox and his wife Sue of Lovell; and her sister, Rosemary Stackhouse of Mason Township, Jane Perry of South Paris, Brad Nelson and wife Jeannie of Winslow, Barbara Allen of Upton, Mass., and Joanne Allen of Boothbay; several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Neil Allen, in 2014, and by her brothers, Fred, Paul, Albert, sister-in-law Nancy Barker, and brother in-law Jeff Allen.
