Kirby Knox '72

Kirby Knox, 71, of Lovell, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at his home. He was born in Norway on June 7, 1954, son of Wilma (Warren Knox) Taylor and Fred Knox.

He was a lifetime resident of Lovell. He enjoyed brook fishing, watching westerns, and reminiscing about old times-he always had a caddy story to tell. He loved his road king and was an avid motorcycle rider, an ability he lost due to a motorcycle accident. He also had a deep love for his family and valued his friendships.

Kirby is predeceased by his parents; sister, Sally (Knox) Heath; step-brother, Kent Taylor; and niece, Lisa Graves.

He is survived by his loving partner, Linda Jonaitis; his brothers, Tom Knox and Kenneth Knox; his step-sister, Bonny Taylor; his children, son, Jeromy Knox; daughter in-law, Missy Knox; and son, Mitchell Knox; and his grandsons.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Kirby’s name be made to Harvest Hills or to your local animal shelter.
