Harry Roberts, Jr '63

Harry G. Roberts Jr., age 80, of Lovell, Maine, passed away on Oct. 21, 2024, at the Portsmouth Regional Hospital, with his loving family by his side.

He was born Sept. 17, 1944, in North Fryeburg, son of Harry and June Roberts (Quincy).

Harry graduated from Fryeburg Academy in 1963, then joined the U.S. Marine Corps, where he proudly served our country.  After the military, he went on to work for the Navy Shipyard in Portsmouth.

Harry was an avid golfer, a game he loved to play, but his happiest times were spent with family and friends.

He was predeceased by his loving parents, Harry and June Roberts, his brother Philip Roberts, and sisters Carolyn Libby and Aloha Kelley.

He is survived by his devoted children, son Dana Roberts of Skowhegan, Maine; Dean Roberts and his significant other Crystal Gaunya of Wells, Maine; Darren Roberts and his wife Julie of Wells, Maine; daughters Bridget Gorton and husband Chris of Fryeburg, Maine; and Kelly Tipping and husband Kevin of Barrington, N.H. Also, his brothers Roger Roberts and wife Carol, Ike (Dwight) Roberts and wife Ruth, and Jeffrey Roberts and wife Sue; and his loving grandchildren, Nicholas, Christopher, Andrew, Ethan, Megan, Emily and Emma, and his great-grandchildren Blake and Vivienne.

A celebration of life will take place on Saturday, Nov. 23, 2024, at 11 a.m. at the North Fryeburg Community Church, at 3 North Fryeburg Road in Fryeburg, Maine. The burial will take place at the Riverside Cemetery in Fryeburg with military honors.
