Gene Bliss '60

Gene Harland Bliss, age 81, of West Baldwin passed away on July 11, 2024 at his home.

He was born on August 21, 1942 to parents Harland and Etta Bliss. He attended school at Fryeburg Academy in Fryeburg, Maine.

Gene had many ways he enjoyed spending his time, some of which included being with family, tinkering on anything, hunting, fishing, camping, auto racing, and horse racing. Gene was a man of many skills and in his earlier years he raised cattle and hayed his fields with his big red farm tractor.

Gene is predeceased by his parents Harland and Etta Bliss and his sister Rita Rankin.

Gene is survived by his wife Brenda Bliss, his children Nora Bliss of Lewiston, Lisa Esposito - husband Joe of Limington, Brian Peters of Baldwin, and Tracy McGary - husband Darren of Buxton. He was also survived by his 5 grandchildren Tia Rockwood - husband Andrew, Jacob Johnson, Cameron McGary, Kelsey Provencher, Kyle Johnson. Gene had 5 great grandchildren Brayden, Tucker, Isabella, Emma, and Maddy.
