Fryeburg Academy Stands Out at the MEJCL Convention

On May 21-22, six delegates from Fryeburg Academy participated in the Maine Junior Classical League (MEJCL) Spring Convention in Winthrop, Maine, earning the following awards:

Everett Helvie '28 (Novice/I):1st in Vocabulary and Derivatives; 3rd in Roman History; 4th in Handicrafts/Daily Living

Jeehoo Lee '26 (Intermediate/II):3rd in 2D Art Instructional

Lucas Leger '28 (Novice/I):5th in Roman History; 5th in 2D Art, General

Sarah Lyons '28 (Novice/I):1st in Costume Contest, Individual; 3rd in Vocabulary and Derivatives; 3rd in 3D Art, Models; 4th in 2D Art, Instructional; 5th in Roman History;5th in Reading Comprehension

Arthur Osborne '26 (Advanced/III):1st in Grammar; 3rd in Sight Latin; 4th in Mythology & Roman Life; 4th in Reading Comprehension, Poetry; 5th in 2D Art, Instructional

Finn Walker '29 (Novice/I):3rd in Roman History

- 4th place in Latin I Certamen (Helvie, Leger, Lyons, Walker)
