FA's FFA Chapter Holds First Annual Spring Awards Ceremony
On Thursday, May 30th, the FFA Chapter members of FA held their first awards ceremony, followed by a delicious barbecue dinner on the patio of the Performing Arts Center prepared by chef Jonathan Anderson and the kitchen staff. Gretchen Harding, FFA Chapter President, welcomed everyone to the 1st Annual Spring Awards Ceremonies, expressing excitement for the recognition of members' hard work, as well as gratitude for the support of the school administration, faculty, and community.
The Chapter Officer Team chose the theme of "growth" to guide them through the year, aiming to motivate members to think outside the norm and discover new ways to become active in the chapter.
During the ceremony, community members who supported the chapter were recognized with Certificates of Appreciation. The recipients included Bob and Lauren Potter, Jack Wadsworth, Brad and Tina Littlefield, Barb and Jeff Solter, Josh Jones, Dylan Harry, David Shepherd, and Amy Wright-Mead.
Joseph R. Manning, the head of the school, and David Kenney, the dean of campus life, were awarded Honorary Degrees in recognition of their advocacy and support of the chapter. Additionally, other awards were presented, including the Greenhand Degree to Madeline Beckwith, Natalie Berry, Charles Day, Dakota Fox, Gretchen Harding, and Rayna Wales; the Chapter Degree to Gretchen Harding and Natalie Berry; The Star Greenhand Award to Madeline Beckwith; Senior Recognition to Natalie Berry; Chapter Scholastic Awards to Gretchen Harding, Jada Bovee, and Natalie Berry; High Honors to Rayna Wales, Madison Legassie, Dakota Fox, and Enna Carbone.
At the evening's conclusion, the 2024-2025 Officer Team was announced, consisting of the following individuals: Sentinel Charles Day; Reporter Maddy Beckwith; Treasurer Enna Carbone; Secretary Rayna Wales; Vice President Gretchen Harding; and President Dakota Fox.
