  Chamber Choir 32 member select classical choir (made up of Vocal Jazz Ensembles and an additional 8 – 12 singers from chorus.) This group competes in the spring.  Daniel Webster Society (Admission tour guides) Students submit an application in the fall and are selected by committee.  Environmental Club The Environmental Club is a group of students and staff working together to lighten our community eco-footprint. To this end we have developed and implemented pilot projects in the areas of recycling, reduced energy consumption and food waste reduction. The club members also promote a higher awareness in our community about alternative energy, alternative transportation, composting, organic gardening, ecosystems and our impact on global environmental concerns.  Library Council The group assists the librarians with library tasks which include: shelving books, helping other students find books, stamping & covering new books, washing the white boards in the library & light dusting, and straightening up shelves. Any student with free time during regular library hours may join. We provide on-the-job training. The members’ volunteer time is recorded and it is possible to earn various items from the FA Store.

 Newspaper The Raider Review is a monthly school newspaper produced by Academy students. It is approximately 29-36 pages; a major goal is to have as many students as possible featured in each issue in stories and or photos. (on average about 300-350 kids are in each issue) Minimum of 50 students contribute to each edition with a core group of editors.

 Newspaper, International Edition Boarding students (with help from some of their publishing friends) have begun creating newspaper in their native languages. Korean copies have gone to Korea; a Taiwanese edition is almost complete. German and Spanish editions are in the works, and we are exploring production of an edition for students from Nepal.

 One Act Drama Competition Auditions are held in December for actors; other students are welcome to participate on set, tech and crew.

 Outing Club and Trail Crew The FA Trail Crew and Outing Club offers students the opportunity to attend various Appalachian Mountain Club volunteer trail crew training sessions in addition to seasonal day hikes and overnight hikes in the White Mountain National Forest. Students also participate, river conditions pending, in a local day paddle on the Saco River. Trail crew training is provided for through the AMC Trails Adoption Program. Presentations are also held throughout the year by guest speakers from the Mount Washington Valley area (SOLO, International Climbing School, Tin Mountain Conservation and many more). The above is offered on a first come first serve basis with preference given to those enrolled in Literature of the Outdoors and Ecology.

 Raider Trader Cards The student group designs and creates Raider Trader Cards (sports cards) which feature student-athletes who can serve as good role models for younger students in the community to whom they are distributed. Hall of Fame athletes' cards are in the design process and will be distributed through the Sports Hall of Fame when it opens in the Fall.

 Student Council The Fryeburg Academy Student council is a group that focuses on student issues, student government, community service and major school events. The group oversees the class election, winter carnival, and community service week. It is also a group where student can bring concerns up for discussion and presents student issues to the administration. All class officers are expected to attend, all students are invited to attend. The student council is led by its own group of officers elected by the student council.

 Student Press Association The group is made up of students who are regular contributors to any of the student publications. Its executive board, which is made up of all student publication editors, gathers information on issues which may have an impact on the publications and helps to resolve the situations either within that smaller group or by assisting with discussions at large. Executive Board members also nominate candidates for upcoming editorial openings and suggest students who might be recruited to work in the coming year.
