Community
Students quickly build peer and faculty relationships that span cultures, genders, and ages. This feeling of community stretches beyond campus into the village of Fryeburg and area towns where day students and school alumni live; many open their homes and families to boarding students during weekends and vacations. Day and boarding students share afternoon, evening, and weekend time on campus, socializing, utilizing academic resources, and attending athletic and other school events.
Location
Fryeburg is home to Fryeburg Academy and nestled in the foothills of the White Mountains. It's perfect for outdoor enthusiasts in every season, surrounded by acres of White Mountain National Forest, lakes, rivers, and nearby ski resorts. The town is also culturally rich, with easy access to larger cities like Portland and Boston, which are 1.5 and 2.5 hour-drive, respectively.
Dining
Our kitchen prepares 4,200+ meals a year across 19 sittings, using fresh produce from our garden. We source nearly 23% of our food locally, including 2% of our fruits and vegetables from local farms. We're expanding our farm-to-table menu as we grow the Academy Farm.
Clubs + Activities
Fryeburg Academy offers 35+ clubs and activities ranging from the all-school musical and robotics to biology club and skiing. There's something for everyone to enjoy every season—indoors and out!
