FRYEBURG — In a closely contested contest played in Freeport, Fryeburg Academy defeated the Falcons 8-7 in a thrilling boys' lacrosse game on May 27. In the second quarter LaFrance found the back of the net a fourth time to give Freeport a 4-2 lead at 4:44. Caracciolo answer with a goal of is own off an assist from Markus Schneider with 1:10 remaining to make it a 4-3 contest at the intermission.

Coach Rick White's troops did some minor adjustments during the break, and they paid dividends in the second half.

Fryeburg outscored Freeport by a goal in both the third and fourth frames to secure the victory. Just 15 seconds into the third quarter Schneider brought the teams to level terms when he found the back of the net.

Caleb Eklund scored a man up goal at 8:09 to give Fryeburg its second lead of the afternoon at 5-4 lead, but Connor Dostie tied the match with 4:59 left in the quarter.

In the fourth quarter, Jeremiah Schrader and Chisari scored less than two minutes apart (at 7:55 and 6:15) to give the blue collar boys from Fryeburg a lead it never relinquished.

Dostie scored with 4:28 left to pull within a goal, but Chisari's capped his hat trick 33 seconds later to restore the two-goal advantage. Evan Donald scored for Freeport with 1:29 to play, but Fryeburg ran out the clock for the win.
